Fall 2021

Musical Theatre Classes

We are proud to announce a return to in-person studio classes this fall, following Covid-19 safety procedures. Musical theatre classes for young artists in grades 4-12 will run from October to December and will be offered in 2 locations this fall: Burlington and Mississauga.

Junior Musical Theatre

For Young Artists Entering Grades 4-7

Junior Musical Theatre is all about developing fundamental musical theatre skills. Young artists will be singing, dancing and acting in weekly classes that are built to give students a rehearsal-like experience. Each young artist will receive individual training and feedback from their directors, all while learning to work together as an ensemble. Rehearsals will end in a showcase where students will have the opportunity to perform what they’ve been working on!

To maintain a safe learning environment for all young artists, this class will be capped at 10 participants and will be following our Covid-19 protocols. The final showcase may be performed live for a physically distanced audience, or recorded and streamed, depending on the public health guidelines at the time.

10 week session – $325

BURLINGTON (located at Port Nelson United Church)
Tuesdays 6:00-7:15 pm

Senior Musical Theatre

For Young Artists Entering Grades 8-12

Senior Musical Theatre is a skill building course for teens. Young artists in this program will receive professional training to further develop their musical theatre skills. Classes will be structured similar to rehearsals, as students will be working on a song, a scene and a dance number, selected by their directors to best support their individual strengths, challenges, and goals as a performer. The program will culminate in a cabaret-style performance, giving young artists a chance to showcase their skills.

To maintain a safe learning environment for all young artists, this class will be capped at 10 participants and will be following our Covid-19 protocols. The final showcase may be performed live for a physically distanced audience, or recorded and streamed, depending on the public health guidelines at the time.

Covid-19 Protocols

  • Cohorting: All classes will be capped at 10 participants, to ensure adequate physical distancing and allow us to meet government regulations
  • Screening: Everyone entering class (staff and students) must complete a self-screening questionnaire prior to entering the building. A no-contact temperature check will be performed on arrival. Anyone feeling unwell will be asked to stay home and we will do our best to help you catch up what is missed.
  • Sanitizing: Everyone entering the building must sanitize their hands upon entry and exit. Frequent hand sanitizing will be encouraged during class. High touch surfaces will be disinfected before and after each class.
  • Masks: Masks must be worn at all times during class. Everyone entering the building is expected to wear a well-fitting mask which covers the nose and mouth completely.
  • Physical Distancing: We will follow all government guidelines for physical distancing in class. Singing will take place with increased distancing (beyond government regulations) and outdoors when possible.
  • Pick-up/Drop Off: Parents will be asked to pick up and drop off at the front door of the building, to reduce the number of contacts inside the space.
  • Moving online as required: In the event that government regulations no longer allow us to meet in person, all classes will move to an online format for the duration of the shutdown.
